Pet Friends, Inc. is a non-profit, all volunteer animal rescue organization whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find permanent homes for lost and unwanted dogs and cats in South Western Pennsylvania.

It is our goal to provide for the medical and physical needs of those animals, to provide educational activities and programs to help end the suffering caused by pet over-population; and to offer education opportunities that will enhance the lives of people and their pets.

We thank you for your continued and valuable support of

our efforts!

On January 15, 2003, a handful of volunteers

met to form a new organization dedicated to

the rescue of lost and unwanted animals.

Through their hard work,

determination and love of animals,

this small group founded Pet Friends, Inc.,

a 501(C) (3) non-profit corporation.

For six months, these volunteers recruited new volunteers and members, processed paperwork, began monthly organization meetings and conducted fundraisers.

On June 15, 2003 Pet Friends, Inc. fulfilled their dream and began taking in animals.  One year later, 48 dogs and 53 cats had been placed in safe and loving homes.  The rest is history, as the work not only continues but grows with each passing month.

Every month countless calls are answered by our Feline and Canine Coordinators from the concerned public, who are looking to find homes for animals that have lost their homes through abandonment, the death of an owner and other unforeseen circumstances.

As a result, our Meet-A-Pet events introduce those rescued pets to families and friends looking for a companion.
